Z27AG Coilover Install - RColt - Ralliart Colt - Guide

Install Video Link

Assorted Coilover Information and my Teins
The Coilovers
The Workshop Manual Information

Take off the wiper assembly, two bolts underneath the wiper caps.
Take off the bolts on the black plastic shroud. You also have to un clip the black weather strip because this hold the black plastic shroud onto the metal tray

Metal tray unbolts. I had to pull out the whole intake system to get to my AFR controller, it was bolted to the black metal tray @_@

Three top mount bolts, i believe the torque spec is 45NM

The Blitz didn't come with a nut to secure the ABS/Brake line clamps. My Teins used a bolt.
Lucky i found a matching nut

Cut up my metal tray so i don't need to remove it next time i wanna make adjustments.
So a +1hour job is now 20mins.
Gonna use butyl rubber and some plastic to cover it and make it water resistant

Rear -

  • The rear all you need is a socket set. (see pic lowering4)
  • Jack the car up and put car stands under the chassie (you need the jack to move the rear axel)
  • Once resting on the stands take he tension off the shocks just loft the axel a bit to take the tension off.
  • Un do the bolt for the shock ( you dont need any thing for the nut as it is tack welded to the arm.
  • once the bolt is out drop the axle and the springs will fall out.

Mack sure you put the rubber ends on the WIGHT ends of the spring and observe on the new springs there is a top and bottom

Front -

The front is a lot more difficult
  • First you need to Crack the wheel nuts and than jack the front up once that is done take the windscreen wipers off (14mm socket)(see pic lowering1)
  • than open the bonnet and the rubber on the plastic scutelle part use a set of neele nose plyers and un do the little clips that hold the rubbe (see pic lowering2), than in the bottom far corners there are two (one each side) black clips use a flat head screwdriver to pry out
  • when you have done that close the bonnet and un clip the rubber mould on the edes of the windscrean that are on the plastic scutelle
  • Once you have done that you have to slide than lift the scutelle up than out (see pic)
  • Than you will see silver coloured 10mm bolts you have to un do these and one of the windscreen wiper motor bolts off (see pic lowering3)
  • Now you have to un clip the plug of the windscreen wiper motor and pull the gromet out to pul the wire and clips out ( to pull the clip for the wire out just use needle nose plyers)
  • Next you have to take out the strut brace to remove the scutelle rio (14mm socket)
  • Now that thats done pull the scutelle rio out it needs some prying for there is a seal underneath the scutelle rio
  • Now un do the wheel nuts and take the wheels off
  • You will need a breaker bar and rachet no wto take the Hi Tensile bolts off the spindle before you do that take the break hose off the strut (12mm socket) and the ABS line (just slides off) now you can take out the bolts that hold the strut.
  • now go back in the engine bay and you will see that there is the three nuts that hold the strut in you will need an 14mm openender to get one of the nuts on the drive side for the arms for the windscreen wiper motor are in the.
  • The next part i just went down to my local pedders for you need so specialist tools to take the top berring plate to tack to coil off, so if you call up and say "i have a coil sping to be replaced with a new one and i have taken the strut out, can you change the coils over if i bring it all down to you" and that it they just did it as i waited and than just put it all back togeather.
